CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, West Bromwich, up to £22 per hour.

My client is an established manufacturing company supporting customers in a wide range of industries.

Job Accountabilities:
*Responsible for the day-to-day running of the CNC lathes making sure production output matches the requirements of the build plan.
*It is desirable that you have knowledge of setting up and operating Haas and Dugard VMC machines, although this is not essential.
*You will be responsible for job changeovers/tool changes & the swift assistance to any breakdowns on the machines in the area.
*It is your responsibility to ensure correct procedures are followed at all times with regards to ‘first offs’ of each part run, making sure first offs are taken into and signed off by the Quality Dept. and the recording of hourly checks.
*Ensure the lathes are set and running before they leave each day with clear instruction left for the operator on the following shift.
*Must be competent with regards any further development work, being able to produce samples of new parts, as and when required.
*Liaise with warehouse FLT drivers to ensure that finished parts are taken down to stores when available.
*Booking all work manufactured onto the MRP System in real-time, as well as ensuring works orders are added to each bin of work produced.
*Responsible for always keeping CNC lathe area clean and tidy, making sure all parts are kept in the correct place daily.
*Keeps a check on all stocks of tooling and raises any new tool requirements as early as possible to maintain tool inventory.
*Ensure that the Team Leader is kept informed of all problems in the department.
Supervise & assist any other operators working in the area, helping with any issues raised passing on expertise, as and when required.
*Provide support to the Team Leader in providing training and guidance to new operatives within the department, to maximize efficiency of production.
*Be reliable & a good timekeeper, as the role is fundamental to the efficient operations of the department.
*Carry out any tasks within the scope and abilities of the function other than those listed above. The Team Leader may provide these either verbally or in writing, such as expectations or improvement requests. This may also include working on other items of kit or processes where required & suitably trained & able to do so.

Requirements:
*Knowledge in setting and programming CNC lathes.
*Ideally knowledge of Haas or Dugard VMC (Fanuc controlled).
*Supporting qualifications.
*The ability to understand and read technical drawings.
*Able to use all manner of engineering measuring equipment.
*Abrasive wheel regulations.

Hours: Rotating Shifts – 6.00am to 2.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Friday.
Weekly Pay.
