Electrical Maintenance Engineer x 2 (Continental Shifts), Birmingham, £23.19 ph - c42 hours = c£50,646.96 pa.12 hour rotation, 4 on 4 off 2x12 hour days (6am – 6pm) and 2x12 hour nights (6pm – 6am) Contracted to work all company shift patterns.Reporting to the Shift Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for the supervision of external contractors and service providers.Purpose: •Complete permits to work and risk assessments, assessing all risks involved in the work to be undertaken.•Ensure safe systems of work are applied, adhered to, and followed out consistently.•Support and achieve PPM, Reactive Maintenance and Plant improvement initiatives, Installation projects, statutory inspections, factory services and any other duties required to ensure plant safety, performance, improvement and operation. •Supervision of external contractors/service providers.•Point of contact for internal customers to resolve plant, equipment, and safety issues. •Ensure critical spares are available and stock levels are maintained on consumption.•Ensure a high standard of workmanship is achieved. CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, West Bromwich, to £22 per hourMy client is an established manufacturing company supporting customers in a wide range of industries.Accountabilities:*Day-to-day running of the CNC lathes making sure production output matches the requirements of the build plan.*Desirable that you have knowledge of setting up and operating Haas and Dugard VMC machines, although this is not essential.*You will be responsible for job changeovers/tool changes & the swift assistance to any breakdowns on the machines in the area.*It is your responsibility to ensure correct procedures are followed at all times with regards to ‘first offs’ of each part run, making sure first offs are taken into and signed off by the Quality Dept. *Ensure the lathes are set and running before they leave each day with clear instruction left for the operator on the following shift.*Booking all work manufactured onto the MRP System in real-time, as well as ensuring works orders are added to each bin of work produced.*Responsible for always keeping CNC lathe area clean and tidy, making sure all parts are kept in the correct place daily.*Keeps a check on all stocks of tooling and raises any new tool requirements as early as possible to maintain tool inventory.*Ensure that the Team Leader is kept informed of all problems in the department.*Provide support to the Team Leader in providing training and guidance to new operatives within the department, to maximize efficiency of production.*Carry out any tasks within the scope and abilities of the function other than those listed above.Requirements:*Knowledge in setting and programming CNC lathes.*Ideally knowledge of Haas or Dugard VMC (Fanuc controlled).Rotating Shifts – 6.00am to 2.00pm and 2.00pm to 10.00pm Monday to Friday.
