Business Development Manager, West Midlands, Basic £30-40k (Neg + Commission)

 

My client is an established and award winning Midlands based Marketing Agency, who covers both B2B and B2C sectors.  They are now on the hunt for a self-motivated Business Development Manager, to join their team and take an active role in assisting with the future growth of the Agency.

The successful Manager will be responsible for seeking out and identifying/developing areas for expansion and secure new business, with a consultative approach to promoting the Agency’s full range of Design and Marketing Services.

Key Responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying and generating leads while efficiently keeping in regular contact with existing prospects.
  • Presenting proposals and pitches to senior decision makers within prospects.
  • Understanding and keeping up-to-date with constant developments in the marketing industry and agency market.
  • Create weekly/monthly activity reports.
  • Delivering against agreed revenue targets to ensure revenue expectations are met.
  • Working closely with the Directors to develop bespoke campaigns to relevant prospects.
  • Leading the development of sales and marketing collateral – communicating the Agency’s proposition and positioning
  • Maximising networking opportunities and regularly using conferences, events and trade shows to increase awareness and develop a further network of contacts.

 

Requirements

  • Prior Business Development/New Business experience, gained from within the marketing and communications world or allied creative sector
  • Target-driven – must be comfortable in a target oriented environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills (telephone, written and face-to-face)
  • Consultative sales skills: Agency’s audience is made up of both marketeers and business owners
  • Excellent time management, an individual who thrives on working autonomously
  • Experience working in a marketing agency / media environment and understanding of (and passion for) the industry.
