Press Setter, Shrewsbury, £11-15 per hourMy client is an established and successful manufacturing company. They are actively seeking to recruit an experienced and proven Press Setter to join their team.You will be responsible for working with a range of presses both manual and progression, 50 -1000 tonne.The shifts for the successful Press Setter are: Days - Monday to Thursday 07.00am - 4.00pm + Friday 07.00am to 12.00pm (39 hours).Nights - Monday to Wednesday 08.00pm - 07.00am + Thursday 08.00pm to 06.00am (39 hours).You will have proven as a Press Setter, preferably along with a ROSPA certificate.You must be UK based and live within a commutable distance of the where the position is located. Design Project Engineer, Redditch, £35k+ (£Negotiable)Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be responsible for the engineering design of new products and managing their development through from concept phase to production launch in their facility and those of their suppliers and partner manufacturers.The successful candidate will also be responsible for developing and implementing new manufacturing technologies and improving current products and processes.Key Duties:*Thermal and mechanical design of various products.*Design verification against various European Directives and International Standards including the *Pressure Equipment Directive and ASME VIII Div. I and II.*Complete product development lifecycle management from concept through development to production launch.*3D and 2D CAD design of products using PTC Creo 10.*Thermal design using in-house developed software.*Creation of products and structures within our ERP system, SAGE 1000.*Liaison with customers, suppliers, and all internal departments.*Visiting customer and supplier sites to investigate applications, progress projects and develop inter-company relationships.*Researching potential new product applications.*Investigation of new and alternative materials and construction methods.Personal & Professional Skills:*Proven experience in a manufacturing engineering environment, ideally focussed on industrial products.*Proficient in the use of 3D CAD, preferably PTC Creo. Experience with other software including *SolidWorks or Autodesk Fusion 360 will be considered.*Proficient using Microsoft Office, ideally including MS Project.*Good communication skills, both written and verbal are essential.*A can-do attitude and strong work ethic, both theoretical and practical.*UK Driving licence required.*Must be a British National and therefore eligible to work in the United Kingdom.Standard Working HoursMonday-Thursday 8:15am-17:00pm, Friday 8:15am-14:15pmYou must be UK based and live within a commutable distance of the where the position is located. Calculate the costs of carrying out a project, ensuring that the price charged covers all costs, whilst always being competitive. Key Responsibilities: • Report back to the Directors key aspects of the estimating / QS function of the business in an agreed format. • Develop accounts with existing and new clients in close liaison with the Directors. • Analyse job appraisals to determine accuracy of estimating standards, report variances to the Directors. • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with the contracts team, site agents, sub-contractors, and all other employees. • Manage the QS function.
