CAD Engineer, West Bromwich, £30-£37.5k

My client is a leading manufacturer of metal fabrications. They are looking to add to their team and are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer.
You will be responsible for taking a customer enquiry / estimate from the in-house team, producing a design, adding it to the CAD system then once the client agrees, carry out any modifications / revised work, then produce details designs that can be released to the shop floor for manufacture.

*Producing AutoCAD / Solidworks fabrication drawings and general arrangements drawings for client approval and compiling production / manufacturing instructions / bill of materials.
*Working to the Technical Department process and procedures as part of Freeflow Quality Management System.
*Assisting with client’s requests to detail fabrication / pipework systems.
*Collaborating with colleagues such as Technical Director, Purchasing Manager and Production Controller on pipework detailing and delivery scheduling.
*Decision making on best detailing practice for client requests.
*Liaising with clients to understand their goals and offering technical solutions to achieve them.
*Checking product detailing for quality and performance according to standards and client specifications.
*Ensuring product designs submitted by client are safe and confirm to any relevant legislation or industry regulations.

They are looking for somebody with a good understanding of CAD (AutoCAD) (any knowledge of Solidworks would be good but is not a necessity). Somebody with an understanding of design around metal work would be beneficial. Knowledge of stress analysis would be a huge bonus, but this is not a necessity. Supporting qualifications would be good.

They are looking to expand their team and wish to recruit a proven and experienced Toolmaker.
