Maintenance Manager / Supervisor, Birmingham, £Neg.

My client operates in the metals industry, privately owned and very successful, they are looking to add to their team.

The role will cover and involve: –
*Repairing / fabrication of bins / skips / roro bins.
*Liaising with suppliers / customers in relation to servicing / repairs / obtaining quotes / keeping on top of plant service schedules and PPM maintenance.
*Repairing heavy plant – 360 excavators, FLT etc., including maintenance / repairs on the main scrap shredder / hydraulic pumps / rams / PLC Equipment.
*There may be times where you will be required to work as part of a maintenance team outside of normal hours in the event of a major breakdown in the best interest of the company.
*You would be required to work closely with your MD / other on-site Management taking task instructions on a daily basis, distributing work requirements to relevant staff / contractors and reporting back positive / negative findings.
*You are also required to follow Company H&S Guidance, and instructions, and keep your maintenance equipment in good working order, and keeping your working areas clean & tidy.

Requirements: –
*They are looking for a ‘’hands on’’ electrically / hydraulic biased engineer, with knowledge of fabricating /Mig / Arc welding activities.
*Competent engineering background required that can work, leading a team, Giving / taking instructions to carry out daily tasks.
*Using on site welders, MIG, TIG, ARC.
*Gas cutting, for repairs and fabrication purposes.
*Occasional working from drawings.
Fault finding / repairing on site issues, hydraulic / electrical.

Working hours are: – Monday – Friday 07.30am – 5.30pm
Saturday 07.00am – 12.00pm (at least 2 per month or as required in line with maintenance requirements.)
Holidays – 22 days + 8 bank holidays

They are looking for a skilled Vending Technician to join their Technical Team, responsible for carrying out Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI), machine preparation, and on-site installations to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will be working at customer premises inside the M25. Key Responsibilities: - *Complete PDIs on new and refurbished machines, ensuring they meet the company and manufacturer standards. *Prepare machines for delivery (configuration, testing, branding, software updates). *Carry out professional on-site installations of hot drinks, snack, fresh food, and water machines. *Commission and test equipment, including payment systems, telemetry, and connectivity. *Complete filter changes for existing machines and other planned works. *Ensure compliance with health, safety, and electrical regulations. *Accurately complete installation records, reports, and handovers. *Liaise with Project Management and Service Desk to coordinate schedules and resolve installation issues. *Provide customer demonstrations and ensure smooth handover of equipment. They produce precision engineered components for customers world-wide. At present they are looking to add to their team and wish to recruit a proven ‘’hands on’’ machine shop supervisor.You will be responsible for day-to-day machining activities from programming (from scratch), setting and operating CNC machines. Predominately turning orientated. You will also be responsible for managing two other CNC Machinists, controlling jobs from start to finish, through inspection and into packaging.
