Machine Operator / Welder / Fabricator, Halesowen, up to £17 per hour.

My client is a specialist in the steel industry providing a wide range of services to customers. They are currently looking for a Machine Operator / Welder / Fabricator.

They are looking for somebody permanently with experience with basic Amada Press Brake machinery and punch machines, setting skills would be an advantage.

Welding will be MIG.

The ideal candidate will be a machine operator who is able to carry out some welding as and when required.

Working hours are 7:00am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday, with one hour for lunch.

Laser Setter/Operator, West Bromwich, to £18 phMy client is an established manufacturing company supporting customers in a wide range of industries.Accountabilities: *Responsible for the day to day running of the Laser Cutting Machine making sure production output matches the requirements on the build plan.*It is desirable that the Setter has knowledge of setting and operating Press Brake machines, although this is not essential.*You will be responsible for job changeovers/tool changes and the swift assistance to any breakdowns.*Ensure correct procedures are always followed with regards to ‘first off’s’ of each part run, making sure first offs are taken into and signed off by the Quality Dept. and the accurate recording of hourly checks/downtime/changeovers etc.*Ensure the Laser is set and running before leaving each day.*Must be fully competent with regards any further development work, being able to produce samples of new parts, as and when required.*Booking all work manufactured onto the MRP system in real-time, as well as ensuring works orders are added to each bin of work produced.*Responsible for always keeping CNC Laser area clean and tidy, making sure all parts are kept in the correct place on a daily basis.*Keep a check on all stocks of tooling and raise any new tool requirements as early as possible to maintain tool inventory.*Supervise and assist any other operators working in the area, helping with any issues raised passing on expertise, as and when required.*Provide support to Team Leader.*You must be reliable and a good timekeeper, as the role is fundamental to the efficient operation of the department.*Carry out any tasks within the scope and abilities of the function other than those listed above.
