Production Control Assistant, West Bromwich, £25-30k

My client is a manufacturing company producing metal fabricated, welded, assembled, and finished components for a large number of UK customers. They are looking to expand their team and wish to recruit an assistant in the production control area.

Duties:
• Progress checking and updating on jobs – customer liaison
• Labelling of products and components
• Delivery note creation
• Booking transport
• Cutting list for tube and band saw
• QA support (1 x day per week) under Nick guidance to complete QA packs. Liaise with internal departments such as planning, logistics, and quality assurance.
• Cover for production department staff upon completion of training. Holidays. Sickness etc.
• Carry out general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and answering phones.
If you have a background in this type of role gained within a manufacturing / production / engineering environment then you could be very suitable for the role.

They are looking for someone with strong organisational values. This would definitely suit someone with drive in terms of future advancement which is always going to be the plan for those joining and who wish to better themselves and are able to demonstrate commitment.

Hours: 0800 – 16:30.

In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating heavy plate rolling machines to form steel plate into cylindrical shapes, in accordance with engineering specifications and production requirements.
