My client is a specialist in the Commercial Catering Equipment Industry design, supplying and installing equipment throughout the UK. They are looking for a CAD Designer to work in the North East (Durham).
Supported by the Director of Catering and the existing team the successful candidate will be responsible for producing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, estimating as well as liaising with customers, architects, designers and M&E Consultants. You must have knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks and ideally Revit experience.

Key Responsibilities: –

Work closely with the existing team to produce high quality Kitchen, Bar and Servery layout drawings.

Follow up with accurate technical services drawings once an order is secured.

Liaise with customers, architects, designers and Mechanical & Engineering companies.

Occasional site visits to take site dimensions.

Produce accurate quotations from drawings.

Gain experience with product training courses as arranged by the company.

The successful candidate should have the following/skills experience.

Ideally full UK driving licence.

Good knowledge of AutoCAD or Solid Works and ideally Revit skills.

Experience in kitchen and restaurant design is highly desirable. However a candidate with experience of working in either an architectural or contracting environment with space planning experience would be considered.

Good design skills and design flair are essential.

Good standard of technical awareness.

Good knowledge of latest Windows operating system.

Good communication skills – as an integral part of the team must be a good team player with a helpful attitude and excellent spoken and written English.

Ability to produce 2D design plans from rough working drawing, with minimum input from others.

Ability to produce 3D visualisations. (training available)

Ability to produce fully detailed M&E service drawings. (training available)

Knowledge of general architecture building layouts.

Experience in the following software is essential: –

·AutoCad 17.

·Microsoft Office.

·Internet proficient for uploading downloading drawings and documents.

Experience in the following software is desirable:

·Revit 17.

·Solidworks
